People of Kanungu District will live a prosperous life, participate in economic growth and development, and realize benefits of investments only if they are provided with an efficient and reliable infrastructural
network. Accordingly, therefore, the district together with the central government has earmarked infrastructural development as a pre-condition to prosperity of the residents. Emphasis will be on improvement of existing roads to make them motorable through programmes such as CAIIP, LGMSD,
development partners and Road Fund, Priority will be given to community feeder roads and tarmacking Rukungiri-Kanungu road and all tourism roads in the District.
